3.6 General information
Regular and proper maintenance
Regular and proper maintenance is the base of a smooth operation and prolongs the
machine’s life.
These maintenance instructions should therefore be available to the staff responsible for
maintaining the machine at all times. This has to be given, since improper and irregular
maintenance may lead to serious consequential damages, which are not covered by the
warranty terms.
In addition to economic reasons, safety aspects make regular and proper maintenance
absolutely necessary. Injuries, accidents and damage to property can only be prevented, if
the construction trolley is in excellent working condition.
The following chapter is a maintenance base from our point of view. The personnel
responsible for maintenance should add their knowledge and experiences to the best of
their knowledge and belief. The environment where the machine will be worked in may
make special consideration necessary. This is the only way to achieve the best possible
maintenance.
Please note that machines of the same type may differ in small details. Please make a
note in your manual, if that is the case.
