Notes for Exporting Cephalo Data to Analysis Software
Whenever cephalo data is exported to analysis software, calibration must be performed to create compat-
ibility between the cephalo image and the analytic software.
* Cephalometric image data is equivalent to 96 μm pixels = (264.58) dpi.
The calibration data for the cephalo unit is on the CD-R provided: Chart
(264 dpi).jpg.
Keep the calibration data in a handy, safe place.
It is recommend that you copy the data onto your hard drive in a folder
named “C:\Program Files\3dxcom”.
• Accurate measurements cannot be made if calibration is not performed.
Import the data into your analysis software.
Use the measurements in the chart as reference to obtain the
calibration points and have the program recognize the distance
between dots. For example, calibrate the software so that the
distance from one cross to the fourth cross away from it is 110
mm.
* For details, refer to the user manual for the analysis software.
