Fault Finding.
FAULT
POSSIBLE CAUSE
REMEDY
NO SPARK AT
ELECTRODE.
Poor or broken connections to the
Electrode or damaged insulation
Remake connections or replace
Damaged lead
Spark gap is incorrect
Spark gap should be 3 – 4 mm
Adjust as necessary
The insulation on the electrode is
Cracked or broken
Replace the electrode
Power is not being supplied to the
Full sequence Control Unit. Internal
Fuse fitted in the Full Sequence
Control Unit blown.
Check for any possible fault that
May have caused the fuse to blow,
e.g. A failed solenoid coil that has
gone short circuit. Repair the fault
and then replace fuse.
Air Pressure Switch is not operating
Due to insufficient air pressure.
Use manometer to check air
Pressure at the pipe outlet. If below
3 mb (when cold) adjust the pipe by
slightly bending if towards the fan
wheel. Adjust as required. Re-
check air pressure.
Air pipe blocked
Clean out air pipe.
Full Sequence Control Unit failed
Replace Unit
THE ELECTRODE
SPARKS BUT WILL
NOT LIGHT.
Pilot Solenoid valve not operating
Check solenoid coil. Replace if
Found faulty.
Air in gas line
Line to be purged by re-starting the
Ignition sequence until air is cleared
From line.
Blocked pilot injector
Clean injector
Spark gap is incorrect
Spark gap should be 3 – 4 mm
Adjust as necessary
Gas Supply off
Turn on supply
