Operating Controls and Component Locations
When you ride a go-kart off-road, you need to be able to operate the throttle, brakes, and other
controls without stopping to look at them. Please read this section carefully before you ride your
go-kart. This section of the manual will describe the function, location, and operation of all the basic
controls of your go-kart.
Brake Pedal
Your Monster Moto MMK80 is shipped with
the steering wheel attached, but lowered for shipping.
You will need to secure the steering wheel to the front
cross-frame before operating.
To attach the steering wheel, follow the steps below:
1. After unpacking your go-kart, place it on
on a flat level surface.
2. Pull up on the steering wheel assembly and position
it in the mounting yolk. The lower hole is used for
smaller drivers.
3. Push the mounting bolt through the yolk and
spacer and tighten bolt to 18 ft-lbs.
4. Move the steering wheel back and forth. The steer-
ing wheel should turn freely and the front wheels
should move accordingly.
