Speaker Columns
These instructions are intended for the installer
of the speakers. Please read the operating in-
structions carefully prior to operating the unit
and keep them for later reference.
1 Applications
These speaker columns feature extremely slim
aluminium profile housings and are a new type
of speakers with magnetostatic drive and flat
membranes, offering full range reproduction
in excellent sound quality. With the line array
principle, a high transmission range is obtained.
2 Important Notes
The speaker columns correspond to all relevant
directives of the EU and are therefore marked
with .
•
The speaker columns are suitable for indoor
use only. Protect them against dripping
water, splash water and high air humidity.
The admissible ambient temperature range
is 0 – 40 °C.

For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never
use water or chemicals.
•
No guarantee claims for the speaker columns
and no liability for any resulting personal dam-
age or material damage will be accepted if the
speaker columns are used for other purposes
than originally intended, if they are not cor-
rectly mounted or connected, or if they are
overloaded.
If the speaker columns are to be put
out of operation definitively, take
them to a local recycling plant for a
disposal which is not harmful to the
environment.
3 Connection (fig. 1)
1) Push the stripped cable ends into the sleeves
of the cable lugs provided.
2) Use pliers to squeeze the sleeves of the cable
lugs, making sure that the cable ends have
a safe contact and cannot slip out of the
cable lug.
3) Push the cable lugs under the screws of the
terminals. Make sure that all speakers have
the same polarity (e. g. marked wire to
⊕
).
4) Tighten the screws of the terminals.
5) Connect the other ends of the cable to the
output of an amplifier that is designed for
operation with 4 Ω speakers.
4 Mounting (fig. 2)
1) At the mounting location (e. g. wall), drill two
holes at a distance of 115 cm from each other
(drilling template provided). If required, use
the two dowels provided.
2) Use the long screws to fasten the long legs of
the two mounting brackets to the mounting
location.
3) Use the short screws to fasten the speaker
column between the two mounting brackets.
