Start-up of the Model
The model is already ready for use and can be put into operation immediately after charging the transmitter battery and the batteries. The
drive and control components are mounted and wired, the connection between the transmitter and the receiver is self-acting, after each
power-up.
Charging the battery
Please observe the notes on page 16-18!
Charge the battery outside of the model to avoid overheating during charging.
The charging cable of the batteries is equipped with a polarity protected plugging system.
ATTENTION!
Before the battery is allowed to be reused after charging, it must also be fully cooled.
•
Insert the loaded battery into the model
•
Loosen the slot of the battery bay and open it
•
Place the battery in the battery holder
•
For a tight fit of the battery put some moss into the battery cradle
•
Close the battery and secure it with the split pin
•
If the model is not used, the battery must always be disconnected and removed from the model
•
Use only suitable batteries!
Make a visual inspection of the model:
•
Are the wheel nuts and screw connections tightened?
•
Is the servo control lever firmly seated on the servo shaft?
•
Is the battery loaded and fixed in the holder?
•
Are the rotating and moving parts running-smoothly?
•
Are the cables laid and secured so that they can not get into moving parts?
•
Are the ring nuts of the spring preload the same on both sides of an axle?
Check the range of the remote control transmitter and the control functions
ATTENTION! Never operate the model with faulty remote control!
Range of the remote control transmitter
To ensure safe control of the model, you should check the function and range of the RC system before every first start and especially after
a crash. For this purpose it is sufficient to test the function of the steering servo. If the remote control does not function properly, check the
charge status of the transmitter and receiver battery and renew the connection between transmitter and receiver.
•
Adjust the model so that the wheels hang freely in the air. Due to the static friction of the tires on the ground, the steering would react
slowly.
•
Move about 50m away from the jacked-up model.
Perform the steering test as described below:
Steering control function
•
Place the steering wheel and its trim in the neutral position.
•
Turn on the transmitter.
•
Connect the battery to the controller and turn the receiver on.
•
Turn the steering wheel to the right and left. The wheels of the model must also strike right and left. If the wheels turn in the opposite
direction, bring the reverse switch for the steering function on the transmitter to the other position.
•
When you release the steering wheel, the wheels must turn back to the straight forward position.
•
If the wheels in the neutral position of the steering wheel do not remain exactly straight, correct the position on the trim control for the
steering function (channel 1).
•
The steering wheel end stops should cause the end stops to the right / left of the steering!
Driving control function
•
Replace the throttle / brake lever and trim in the neutral position.
•
The engine must not start in the neutral position of the remote control lever!
Fault Handing
General Care
1. Always use clean, dry cloth or soft bristle brush to clean your equipment.
2. Never use chemical cleansers, as these could damage the sensitive electronics and plastics.
When there is no backward function and you can’t find the centre bit, please check, if the TRIM is on centre or not.
