Getting Started

1.

•   ELECTRIC DRILL/DRIVER RECOMMENDED FOR ASSEMBLY. USE THE DRIVER

  BIT PROVIDED.
•   USE SAND PAPER TO SMOOTH OUT ANY SCUFFS THAT OCCUR

  THROUGHOUT ASSEMBLY.
•   DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN SCREWS, OR RISK STRIPPING OUT HOLES.
•   WE RECOMMEND USING THE PROVIDED GLUE AT HIGH-STRESS

ATTACHMENT POINTS FOR ADDED STRENGTH PARTICULARLY, STEP 4, ARM

 ASSEMBLY.

For easy cleaning and color retention, we recommend fi nishing your

Fernwood Chair with a paint or stain and / or clear coat.

If you plan to fi nish your Fernwood chair, be sure to do so BEFORE

assembly with a water-based stain or paint. Let dry completely before

assembly.

ACRE takes stain and paint well. Paint is easiest to work with on account

of the narrow slats and tight corners.

If you choose to stain, we recommend having a small foam brush and

rag  handy  when  applying  your  fi nish.  When  applying  stain,  begin

with harder to reach areas between seat and back slats, immediately

wiping off excess fi nish from fl at surfaces with your rag. Once you’ve

gotten to all the tighter areas, move on to the fl at, easy to access areas

of each component.

UNPACK ALL THE PARTS FROM SHIPPING BOX.
