4. Configuration
4.1 Overview
The NTP movement NBU 190 has three different operation modes:
Unicast
The movement works as NTP Client and as a master movement. It has an own IP address. See
chapter 4.3.1.
Multicast
The movement works as NTP Client and as a master movement. It joins a group address (mul-
ticast IP address). See chapter 4.3.2.
Slave Mode
The movement is working as a slave movement in the cascade and is controlled by a master
movement. The slave movement has no network connection. See chapter 4.3.3.
Configuration takes place via two DIP switch groups located on the housing side of the movement
(see chapter 4.2). The network configuration is automatically done by:
-IPv4: DHCP server (see chapter 5.2)
-IPv6: SLAAC or DHCPv6 Server (see chapter 5.3 and 5.5)
-manually using the PC tool MOBA-NMS (see chapter 5.10)
4.2 Switches
The movement has two switch groups (1 and 2). Each group contains 8 DIP switches.
