INSTALLATION

SAFETY

•  Provide power to the required point of installation. Suitable IP rated junction boxes should be used where 

required

• Unscrew the four fastening screws and remove the front cover (see Fig. 1)

•  This product must be installed in accordance with the latest edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations 

(BS7671) and current building regulations. If in any doubt, please consult a qualified electrician.

• Please isolate mains prior to installation or maintenance
•  Check the total load on the circuit (including when this luminaire is fitted) does not exceed the rating of 

the circuit cable, fuse or circuit breaker

•  Please note the IP (Ingress Protection) rating of this luminaire when deciding the location for installation
• This product is Class I and must be earthed
• This product is IP65 rated

INSTALLATION 

  Provide power to the required point of installation. Suitable IP rated junction boxes should be used 

where required 

  Unscrew the four fastening screws and remove the front cover (see Fig. 1)

  Drill the fixing holes in the rear of the fitting. Mark the location of the fixing holes, and drill ensuring 

not to infringe with any gas / water pipes or electrical cables 

 

  Choose a suitable cable entry. 20mm drilling guides are provided on the rear or side of the unit. 

Ensure to use a suitable cable gland to retain the IP rating. Fix the luminaire to the surface using 

appropriate fixings

 

  Connect the luminaire to the mains supply (via the terminal connector) ensuring the correct polarity 

is observed (see Fig 2). Live (brown), Neutral (blue) and Earth (green and yellow) 

  Connect the battery to the battery connector on the PCB (see Fig. 2) 

Unscrew 

•  Drill the fixing holes in the rear of the fitting. Mark the location of the fixing holes, and drill ensuring not to 

infringe with any gas / water pipes or electrical cables

•  Choose a suitable cable entry- 20mm drilling guides are provided on the rear or side of the unit. Ensure a 

suitable cable gland is used to retain the IP rating. Fix the luminaire to the surface using appropriate fixings

•  Connect the luminaire to the mains supply (via the terminal connector) ensuring the correct polarity is 

observed (see Fig. 2). Live (brown), Neutral (blue) and Earth (green and yellow)

• Connect the battery to the battery connector on the PCB (see Fig. 2)
