BEFORE CALLING FOR SERVICE
Symptom
No power
The image is not printed.
The image cannot be printed to the
possible print area.
The image can not be transferred.
COPY button does not work.
The personal computer does not recog-
nize this unit.
Check & Remedy
Is the power cord plug disconnected from the outlet?
→
Connect the power cord plug to the outlet firmly.
→
The protective circuit may work. Turn off the power and wait for
about 2 minutes. Then turn on the power again.
Is the image data sent to this unit?
→
Confirm that the image data is sent to this unit.
Is the print paper or ink sheet used up?
→
Check the status.
Is the ink cassette set correctly?
→
Set the ink cassette correctly.
Is the IC chip set correctly?
→
Set the IC chip correctly.
Is the printer driver set correctly?
→
Check the status of the printer driver.
Is the ON LINE indicator lit?
→
Check the status.
Is the input select switch set correctly?
→
Check the setting.
Is the ON LINE indicator lit?
→
Turn off the indicator.
Is the image data transferred?
→
Check the status.
Is this unit on OFF LINE status?
→
Press ON LINE button to be on ON LINE status.
Is the SCSI ID number duplicate with another equipment?
→
Change the SCSI ID number.
Is the input select switch set correctly?
→
Check the setting.
ASSIGNMENT OF TRANSPORTATION PACKAGE
When transporting this unit for some reasons such as repairing, remain the following condition.
Use genuine package unit
Genuine package unit is prepared as a optional parts.
Using of the genuine package more than one round trip can not be guaranteed.
Purchase another package unit when transporting this units again.
Remove all the accessories from the unit.
For the following symptoms, check the unit again.
