3. Installation

Note: the below instructions are for an M&P series multi position air 

handler.  Be sure all power is removed from the indoor and outdoor 

unit before preforming any of the below steps.  Other Mitsubishi 

Electric indoor units will vary.  These steps should only be performed 

by a license contractor. 

 

Step. 1

 Remove the (2) screws indicated in the image below and 

remove the “ELECTRICAL” panel

 Remove the (1) screw that secures the panel to the air 

handler.

Step.

 Control box for M&P series air handler.

Step. 4

 Remove the screw that secures the green wire to the 

sheetmetal (ground)

Step.

 Remove the harness beginning at the red plug (CND) next, 

S1, S2, S3 and CN3C.

Step.

 Remove the harness from the air handler and discard.  If 

the model has a ferrite bead (round metal component that the blue 

and red wires pass through) it will need to be reinstalled in the same 

manner over the blue and red wires in the Wiring Harness for Power 

provided in the SPTB1 kit.
