SYSTEM CONFIGURATION
This chapter describes the system configurations for using the I/O module with diagnostic functions in SIL2 mode. For
application in SIL2 mode, a redundant system must be configured based on a redundant master station or redundant line. In
such a case, mount the I/O module with diagnostic functions to a remote head module.
Display of I/O module with diagnostic functions
For using the I/O module with diagnostic functions in SIL2 mode, two modules must be used as a pair as shown below.
Configure the settings of modules using GX Works3 so that a module near the remote head module is handled as Main and
another as Sub. On the screen of GX Works3, the modules are displayed as listed in the table below.
