Connection of a dedicated external brake resistor FR-ABR
(FR-E720S-030SC or more, FR-E740-016SC or more)
Install a dedicated brake resistor (FR-ABR) outside when the motor is made to run by the load, quick
deceleration is required, etc. Connect a dedicated brake resistor (FR-ABR) to te and PR (resp.
P/+ and PR). (For the locations of te and PR (resp. P/+ and PR), refer to the terminal block layout
(section 3.3.2).)
Set parameters below (refer to section 6.9.2).

The brake resistor connected should only be the dedicated brake resistor.

Do not remove a jumper across te and P1 (resp. P/+ and P1) except when connecting
a DC reactor.
●
The shape of jumper differs according to capacities.
