To remove memory
To remove a DIMM, follow these steps:
1.
Observe the precautions detailed in the ‘Safety and regulatory
notices’ at the front of this handbook.
2.
Turn off and disconnect all peripheral devices connected to the
computer. Then turn off the computer and remove the power
cord.
3.
Remove the computer cover.
4.
Gently spread the retaining clips at each end of the socket.
The DIMM pops out of the socket.
5.
Hold the DIMM by the edges, lift it away from the socket,
and store it in an antistatic package.
