outdoor units, the length of refrigerant pipe, and the number of
bends in the pipe are within the limits shown below.

Avoid locations where combustible gas may leak, settle or be gener-
ated.
•
Avoid locations exposed to direct sunlight or other sources of heat.
•
If direct sunlight cannot be avoided, always install a sunshade to pro-
tect the outdoor unit from the sun.
•
Select a location from which noise emitted by the unit will not incon-
venience neighbours.
•
Bear in mind that during operation, drain water may flow from the unit.
•
Avoid locations where the unit could be covered by snow.
In areas where heavy snow fall is anticipated, special precautions must
be taken to prevent the snow from blocking the air outlet or blowing
directly against it, as this would reduce the airflow and cause a mal-
function.
•
Select a location permitting easy wiring and piping access to the power
source and indoor unit.
