Verifying and Securing Cable Connections

At this point in the installation all cabling to the MDF, patch panel, rack, and phones should be 

completed, including all cables that terminate at the chassis modules. 

To complete cabling:

1.

Plug all applicable cables into their respective modules and chassis ports. 

2.

Install the LAN cable from the CS Controller or HX Controller RJ-45 LAN jack to a LAN connec

-

tion. Plug the cable into a network switch, 

not

 a hub. (The LAN port is configured to auto-negotiate 

both speed and duplex mode. As such, the network switch port connected to this jack must also 

be configured to auto-negotiate speed and duplex mode.)
