Cleaning and Maintenance
In principle, all cleaning and maintenance works must be performed after the stunner has
been switched off. Dirty and consumed electrodes lead to poor skin contact and do not
ensure optimum stunning.
5.1 Safety Information

Disconnect the Electro Sheep Stunner from the mains supply before each operation and
protect against unintended reactivating.
WARNING!
Risk of accident caused by insufficiently qualified personnel
Danger to Life and most severe injuries are possible.
The Electro Sheep Stunner may only be operated, maintained and repaired by instructed
and authorized service personnel.
5.2 Daily Cleaning
Only use the cleaning detergents especially designed for use in the food industry.
1. Disconnect the Electro Sheep Stunner from the mains supply.
2. Clean the Electro Sheep Stunner only manually by using customary detergents and
disinfectants.
3.. Clean the dirty electrodes with a steel brush.
4. Keep the electrodes bare.
5. Store the Electro-Stun-Tong in a warm and dry place for its next application.
5.3 Periodic Inspection of Electrical Equipment
In accordance with the accident prevention regulation “Electrical installations and equipment”
and the operational safety rules the operator is obliged to ensure that all electrical machinery
and installations are regularly checked for electrical safety. Periodic inspections of non-
stationary electrical machinery and equipment that is used in slaughtering and cutting plants
must be carried out at intervals of six months in accordance with DIN VDE 0701-0702/EN
60204-1. The electrical test must be carried out by an electrically skilled person in
the sense of the accident prevention regulation “Electrical installations and equipment” or by
an electrically instructed person. We recommend that you should document the inspections
and test results in a test logbook. This will enable you at any time to further proof that you
have inspected your machinery and equipment in accordance with requirements. Service at
