2. For your Safety
2.1 Indented Use
The Electro Sheep Stunner is employed together with FREUND-Stunners STUN-E430,
STUNE512 and STUN-E513/514
for stunning of sheep, lambs and goats.
is only approved for one operator. Any other user is not intended and bears safety risks
for the operating personnel.
Further issues for intended use are:
Compliance with the safety instructions
Professional execution of repairs and maintenance
Cleaning schedule.
FREUND AND MEFE disclaims any liability for damages caused by not intended use.
2.2 Not intended Use
Only operate the Electro Sheep Stunner according to its intended use. In case of doubt
please contact the manufacturer.
Use the Electro Sheep Stunner only on animals and never on humans.
Do not use the Electro Sheep Stunner to position the animals.
Do not use the Electro Sheep Stunner to move items or animals.
2.3 Electrical Safety in Accordance with DIN VDE 0701-0702/EN 60204-1
All our electrical machinery and equipment is tested for electrical safety prior to
commissioning and following modification or repair in our factory in accordance with the
electrical engineering rules as per DIN VDE 0701-0702/EN 60204-1. A test sticker is
attached. This test sticker indicates when the next periodic inspection must be carried out.
The inspection interval for machinery and equipment that is used in slaughtering and
cutting plants is every six WEEKS. The electrical inspection is carried out by an electrically
skilled person in our factory.
2.4 Explanation of Signal Words and Symbols in Use
2.4.1 Operational Instructions for Safety Precautions
When using the Electro Sheep Stunner, danger may arise in certain situations caused by
particular behaviours. Notices indicating such risks are placed in front of each particular
work step and marked by the following symbol:
