Congratulations on the purchase of your
new Frypan from the Mistral and The
Australian Women’s Weekly range of
electrical appliances.
Before first using your new Frypan, it is most
important that you read and follow the instructions
in this use and care booklet, even if you feel you
are familiar with this type of appliance.
Your attention is drawn particularly to the section
dealing with IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS. Find a
safe and convenient place to keep this booklet
handy for future reference.
This appliance has been designed to operate
from a standard domestic power outlet. It is not
intended for industrial or commercial use.
Before first use, carefully unpack the unit
and remove all packaging material. Wash the
appliance thoroughly, rinse with clean water and
dry. Now “condition” the non-stick surface inside
the Frypan with a thin coating of cooking oil wiped
on with a paper towel.
Conditioning should be done after every six weeks.
If washed in the dishwasher, the Frypan should be
conditioned after each wash.
For ease of cleaning and safety, your Frypan has
a removable power connector.
To attach the power connector to the Frypan body,
steady the body by holding the handle opposite
the power inlet with one hand, hold the power
connector with the other hand and push it firmly
into the power inlet as far as it will go. Reverse
this procedure to remove the power connector,
taking care not to spill hot liquids.
Once the power connector is connected to the
Frypan, plug into a standard domestic power
outlet and turn the temperature control knob to
the required temperature. A signal light on the
power connector will indicate that the power
is “ON”. During the cooking time, the light will
go “ON” and “OFF” showing that the selected
temperature is being maintained.
However, this temperature setting may need to be
varied slightly to suit your personal preference.
“Keep Warm” Temperature
To keep food warm until ready to serve, turn the
temperature control knob to “Warm”. Food will
not burn at this temperature.
