IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using an electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always
be observed, including the following:
1. Check if the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds to the local
voltage before you connect the appliance to the mains.
2. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children)
with reduced physical or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they are supervised or have been given instructions
concerning the use of the appliance by the authorized personnel responsible
for their safety.
3. Small children should be supervised by the authorized personnel to
prevent their playing with the appliance.
4. Do not use the appliance in the bathroom.
5. Do not touch the appliance or power cord with wet hands. To avoid
electric shock, do not immerse the appliance, the cord or the plug into
water or any other liquid.
6. Do not leave the appliance unattended when it is connected to the mains.
7. Do not wrap the power cord around ceramic coated barrel or handle
before storing the appliance.
8. The barrel gets very hot during the use. Avoid any contacts of the
exposed parts of the body, especially the scalp, face, neck and ears with its
hot surface. Before storing the unit let the barrel cool down at least 30
minutes.
9. The curling iron is intended for domestic use only. Do not use the
appliance outside or for commercial purposes.
10. Before storing the appliance, make sure that it is unplugged and cooled
down completely.
11. Do not allow children to use the unit and be especially careful if it works
in close proximity to them.
12. Always unplug the appliance immediately after use.
13. When unplugging the unit, grasp the plug, do not pull the cord. Do not
use the cord as a handle for the unit, nor wrap it around sharp surfaces or
corners. Keep the cord away from hot surfaces.
14. Do not use the appliance with a damaged cord or plug, nor after
exposure to liquids, falling or any other damages. To avoid electric shock,
do not disassemble nor repair the unit by yourself. If necessary, contact the
authorized service center.
