2. Introduction

Summary
The NV9602

is a 1RU panel, slightly over 9
″
deep, overall. It has 2 sets of backlit function buttons
and a small display. The display has 2 distinct LED readouts each having 8 characters.

The panel is organized as shown in figures 2-1 and 2-2:

The function buttons select sources or destinations, or they execute functions. Physical source
selection buttons represent one of two “pages” of sources. Physical destination selection buttons (if
present) represent one of two pages of destinations. An operator can toggle between the two pages.
The up and down arrows at the far right apply only when the panel is in menu mode.
At the rear are power, serial, and network connectors:

The ports labeled 10base2 and RS-422 are non-operational and are covered. Only the serial port
and the Ethernet port are available.

The AC connector has a compartment in which you can find a spare fuse.
(The Ethernet port is 10baseT. The NV9000 supports 10baseT as well as 100baseT.)
