- Cleaning the water tank (once a week):
Rinse the water tank to eliminate any limescale residue.
If you deem it necessary, use vinegar dissolved in water to remove any tough deposits
of lime. Alternatively, there are several cleaning solutions on the market for removing
lime which are suitable for humidifiers. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions
when using this type of product.
- Cleaning the hollow in the base (once a week):
If any lime deposits have formed in the hollow in the base, remove them with a soft
cloth dampened with a neutral cleaning agent or vinegar and rinse with water.
In the event of lime being deposited in the area of the transducer, add some drops
of vinegar to the surface of the transducer and allow this to take effect for two to five
minutes. Remove any encrusted lime from the surface with a brush. Use a clean cloth
to properly dry the transducer. Alternatively, there are several cleaning solutions on
the market for removing lime which are suitable for humidifiers. Always follow the
manufacturer’s instructions when using this type of product.
- Cleaning the exterior of the humidifier:
Use a cloth and water no hotter than 40 °C in temperature to clean any marks from the
exterior of the device. The vapour outlet nozzle can be washed by running it directly
under a stream of water.
- Storing the humidifier:
When you are not going to use the device for an extended period of time, completely
empty the water tank. Clean the humidifier, carefully dry it, and package it in its original
packaging.
