(8) stays turned on to indicate that it’s within range. On the contrary, if the parent
unit cannot receive this signal after next 2 minutes, the LED will flash with a
beeping tone to act as a warning signal to alert the user that it is Out Of Range.
With the switch in the ‘LOW’ position a continuous low power connection to the
parent unit is activated. The above described delay for establishing the link will
not take place in this case.
5.2.8. Linking the units
If the connection between the Parent Unit and Baby Unit is broken at any time
the green ‘Link’ light on the Parent Unit (8) will flash and the green sensor light
will cease to react to any sounds. To re−establish the link, please make sure
the Parent is in-range with the baby unit (move closer to the baby unit and wait
5 seconds for the link to be established). If it does not work, you may need to
re−establish the link between the two units. Turn both units off and then:
- On the baby unit: −Press the On/Off key.
- On the parent unit: −Press and hold down the On/Off key for approx. 2 seconds.
The green ‘Link’ light (8) comes on (this may take a few seconds).
To check the link status, at any time, press Power on/off button (4) on parent unit
and it will return to search mode after 15 seconds. It is useful to check if the baby
unit is ON when you are not receiving sound from the baby unit. If they are linked,
the link light on the Parent Unit (8) will remain on (not flashing) and if they are
not connected the display will show ”Not linked” and the green link light on the
Parent Unit (8) will flash.
