5. Detach the appropriate Immobilon
®
membrane ID card from the strip of cards and fill in the
lot number. Place the card in the pouch on the inside of the dispenser top.
6. Remove tape from the end of the membrane roll and feed the patapar/membrane sandwich
up through the slot in the cover and out towards the front of the dispenser.

7. Gently pull the membrane/patapar sandwich forward as indicated and align the edge with the
front edge of the cover (marked "ALIGN MEMBRANE TO EDGE").

The cover has grooves to position the scissors for cutting membrane to fit standard
mini (7.8 × 8.5 cm) or midi (8.5 × 13.5 cm) gels. With the membrane flat against the cover,
position scissors in one of the cover grooves to cut the desired length.
9. After cutting, partially retract the membrane back into the dispenser, leaving just enough at
the slot to pull it forward.
