conductor to disconnect device grounding ter-

Connect input conductors L1, L2, and L3 to
disconnect device line terminals.

Over-Current Protection
Select type and size of over-current protec-
tion using Section 4-6 (fused disconnect
switch shown).
Close and secure door on disconnect device.
Follow established lockout/tagout procedures
to put unit in service.

Connecting To 3-Phase Engine Generator w/400 Volt Output
Installation must meet all National and Local Codes − have only qualified persons make this installation.

Obtain a 400 volt plug that matches the receptacle on the engine generator. Install the plug on the cord of the welding power source according
to the plug manufacturer’s instructions.
Generator Requirements
•
Engine generator must provide the correct input amperage (see Section 4-6).
•
Frequency must be between 50 and 60 Hz
NOTICE − Make sure welding power source is off during engine generator start-up. Do not turn on the welding power source until the generator has
reached normal operating speed.
