Wear a face shield.
4 Battery acid can burn skin. Do
not spill acid.

7 Dead battery
8 Engine block
9 Fully charged battery
10 Do not connect last negative
cable to dead battery – connect
instead to engine block.
11 Jumper cables – observe
polarity and make connections
in numbered sequence shown.
12 Once dead battery is charged,
disconnect cables in sequence
shown.
