To stop the shredder:

6. Stand to one side of the hopper and check that you have a stable and secure footing.
Firmly grasp the engine with one hand on the chassis. With the other hand grasp the recoil
starter rope handle and pull slowly until resistance is felt, indicating the starter is engaged. When
you feel this resistance, pull hard on the rope (Illustration 14). Repeat this procedure until the
engine starts.
Start up of the wood chipper:
After the engine has started and is running smoothly, return the choke lever to the OFF position.

When the engine is running, the speed can be adjusted by moving the throttle control lever
(Illustration 16)(16.1) to the high, medium or low position (indicated by a turtle).
