lubrication
Remove the seat post from the frame and wipe off any old grease rust or dirt. Then apply a thin
film of new grease to the part that will be inserted into the frame. re-insert, adjust and tighten
the seat post in the frame.
adjustment
The seat can be adjusted in height, angle and distance from the handlebars to suit the individual
rider. saddle angle is a matter of personal preference but when the top of the seat is almost
parallel to the ground, or slightly raised at the front, the most comfortable position will usually be
found.
WARNING:
after any saddle adjustment, be sure tighten the saddle adjustment
mechanism properly before riding. a loose saddle clamp or seat post binder can cause
damage to the seat post, or can cause movement in any direction. Periodically check to
make sure that the saddle adjusting mechanism is properly tightened.
NOTE: Comfort style bicycle may be equipped with a suspension seat post. (See diagram left.)
