Slightly move the throttle lever at the handle to
high. (Fig. 5)
Turn the engine switch to “ON (operation)”.

Hold the recoil starter grip, and pull it a little.
You will feel a slight resistance. Then, pull it
hard to run the engine. Be careful not to pull
too hard, or the rope might break or come off.
Allow the starter rope to slowly move back into
the case while keeping the grip grabbed.

After the engine has started, while you hear
some explosion loud noise, gradually move
back the choke lever until it is wide open.

-When the choke lever is set to “Start”,
gradually move it back toward the “Opera-
tion” direction while making sure the engi-
nerevolution stabilizes.
