Drain valve version:

Turn the programme selector
to
r
End.

Open the access panel to the drain-
age system and drain off any water
(see "Cleaning and Care" - "Cleaning
the drainage system").

Push the emergency drain lever
downwards (see illustration), and
hold until no more water runs out.
Always make sure that the drum is
stationary before reaching into the
machine to remove laundry.
Reaching into a moving drum is ex-
tremely dangerous and could cause
injury.

Use a spoon handle to pull the emer-
gency release downwards (see ar-
row). The door will then open.
