The machine shakes during
the spin cycle

If this is a new installation, check to see
that the shipping struts have been re-
moved from the back of the washer. If
this occurs on an existing washer, the
most likely cause is that the machine’s
four feet are not resting securely on the
floor. Level the machine (see „ Installa-
tion instructions“).

Weak floorboards can also lead to ex-
cessive noise and shaking during the
spin cycle (see „ Installation instruc-
tions“).

The laundry is too wet or the
machine does not spin at all

– The selected spin speed was too

low.

– The machine was not able to distrib-

ute the laundry load evenly. To pro-
tect the machine, the laundry was
spun at a reduced speed or not at
all.

Large items which tangle or roll up in
the drum (e.g. bath mats) can cause an
imbalance during the spin cycle. For
safety reasons, the machine does not
spin if this is the case. Attempts to build
up spin speed will be repeated until the
time allocated to spinning has expired.
To reduce the chances of this occur-
ring, wash mixed loads consisting of
large and small items.

^

The lint trap may be clogged. Clean
the filter and pump (see „ Cleaning
and Care“).

Opening the drum door during
a power failure

To prevent water from spilling on to
the floor, make certain the machine
is drained before opening the door.

^

Turn off the washing machine.

^

Open the drain pump access panel
and drain off any water (see
„ Cleaning and Care“).

Always make sure the drum is sta-
tionary before reaching in to remove
laundry. Reaching into a moving
drum is extremely dangerous.

^

Pull down the ring in the upper right
corner of the access area, and the
door will open.
