Unexpected behaviour

Issue

Cause and remedy

The sensor controls
show increased
sensitivity or fail to
react.

The sensitivity level of the sensor controls has
changed.

Make sure that there is no direct light (from the sun
or from an artificial source) falling onto the
SmartLine element. The area surrounding the
SmartLine element must not be too dark.

Take any pans off the SmartLine element and wipe
away any food deposits.
Ensure that there is nothing covering the entire
SmartLine element unit or sensor controls.

Interrupt the power supply to the SmartLine
element for approx. 1 minute.

If the problem persists after power has been
restored, please contact your Miele dealer.

The Tepan Yaki or one
of its zones switches
itself off automatically.

It has been operated for too long.

Switch the Tepan Yaki or zone back on again (see
“Safety features” – “Safety switch off”).

The overheating protection mechanism has been
activated.

See “Overheating protection” in the “Safety
features” chapter.
