Problem solving guide
With the help of the following notes minor faults in the performance of the
appliance, some of which may result from incorrect operation, can be put right
without contacting the Service Department.
Repair work to electrical appliances should only be carried out by a suitably
qualified person in accordance with current local and national safety
regulations. Repairs and other work by unqualified persons could be
dangerous. The manufacturer cannot be held liable for unauthorised work.
Fault messages in the display
Problem Possible cause Remedy

Adjust
the load
This is not a fault.
The electronic unit has
recognised that there is no
laundry in the drum and
cancelled the programme.
Drying individual garments or
items which are already dry
can also cause the programme
to be cancelled.
Use the Warm air
programme (timed
drying) to dry individual
items.
To delete the fault
message:
– Open the door.

Technical
Fault
A fault code eg F47
may also appear in
the display
No obvious cause.
In some circumstances, Clean
out airways will have appeared
in the display already.

– Confirm with OK .
There is a fault, if despite doing
this, the programme is
cancelled and the fault
message appears again. Contact the Miele Service
Department, and quote
any fault code where
applicable.
