Wooden frame ¹/₂" (13 mm) (not
supplied with appliance)
As the ceramic glass slab and the
counter cut-out have a certain dimen‐
sional tolerance, the width of the gap
(min. ¹/₁₆" [2 mm]) can vary.
Preparing the counter
Make the counter cut-out as shown
in the cooktop diagram and in the de‐
tailed drawing. Remember to main‐
tain a minimum safety distance (see
"Safety clearances").
Solid wood / Tile / Glass countertops:
Fix the wooden frame
¹/₄" (7 mm)
under the top edge of the counter
(see the figure).
Installing the cooktop
Feed the appliance connection cable
down through the counter cut-out.
Center the cooktop in the cut-out.
Connect the cooktop to the electrical
power supply.
Check that the cooktop works.
Seal the remaining gap
with a sili‐
cone sealant that is heat-resistant to
at least 320°F (160°C).
For granite and marble tiles, only use
silicone sealant that is specially for‐
mulated for granite and marble, and
observe the sealant manufacturer's
instructions.
