Overheating protection
Each zone is equipped with
overheating protection. An internal
temperature limiter switches off the
heating elements in the cooking zone to
prevent the ceramic surface
overheating. Once the ceramic surface
has cooled down to a safe level the
heating will automatically switch back
on again.
Overheating can be caused by:
– switching on a cooking zone without
a pan on it when pan recognition is
switched off.
– heating up an empty pan.
– the base of a pan not sitting evenly
on the cooking zone.
– the pan not conducting heat
properly.
You can tell that the overheating
protection has activated because the
heating switches on and off even when
the highest setting is selected.
