This gap must also be maintained in
housing units where the floor or base
shelf is set-back from the front of the
unit, even if it means that plastic
bracket
d
protrudes over the edge of
the housing unit floor.
On furniture with fittings such as buffer
strips or seals:
^
Pull the appliance forwards by
dimension
h
(this is the depth of the
buffer strip or seal) in order to keep
the gap at
42 mm
all round.
The hinges now protrude by dimension
h
and plastic bracket
d
is aligned
parallel with the front edge of the hinge.
If the all round gap of 42 mm is not
maintained between the appliance
casing and the front edge of the
housing unit side wall the doors may
not shut properly.
This could lead to a build-up of ice
and condensation and also cause
operational faults.
Securing the appliance in the
niche
^
Press the appliance against the wall
on the hinge side.
^
To fix the appliance to the housing
unit at the top and bottom:
– screw the long 4 x 19 mm chip board
screws
a
into all of the hinge plates,
– screw a long chip board screw
b
(4 x
19 mm) through the middle of the
long hole in the plastic bracket.
^
Close the plastic bracket.
