Many malfunctions and faults that can occur in daily operation can be easily
remedied. Time and money will be saved because a service call will not be
needed.
The following guide may help you to find the reason for a malfunction or a fault,
and to correct it.
To prevent unnecessary loss of temperature it is advisable not to open the door
while waiting for the appliance to be serviced.
Issue Cause and remedy
If you are concerned
that your refrigeration
appliance is not
working properly, you
can perform a
Self test .
Your refrigeration
appliance will be
checked for any faults
or malfunctions.
Any errors identified during the self test are shown on
the display.
 Perform a self test (see “Selecting additional
settings – Performing a
Self test

”).

If necessary, contact your Miele Dealer.
The refrigeration
appliance is not getting
cold and the interior
lighting does not come
on when the appliance
door is opened. The refrigeration appliance has not been switched
on.

Switch the refrigeration appliance on. The
temperature appears on the display.
The plug is not inserted in the socket correctly.

Insert the plug into the socket.
The mains fuse has tripped. There could be a fault
with the refrigeration appliance, the household
electrical wiring or another electrical appliance.

Contact a qualified electrician or your Miele Dealer.
