When using the adjustable floorhead,
if the suction seems too high, reduce
the suction power until the floorhead
is easier to manoeuvre.
Depending on the model, your vacuum
cleaner will be fitted as standard with
one of the following suction power se-
lectors.
– Footswitches
– Footswitch with the option of select-
ing interim suction power levels
– Footswitch with Boost function
– Radio-control handle
– Radio-control handle with Boost
function
Foot controls (Fig. 25)
The first time the vacuum cleaner is
switched on, the highest setting will be
selected automatically.
After that the vacuum cleaner will
switch on at the setting which was used
previously.
Press the + foot control to select a
higher setting.
Press the - foot control to select a
lower setting.
Footswitches with the option of se-
lecting interim suction power levels
Some models also offer the option of
selecting power levels in between the
standard 6 settings.
To activate this function
Press the + footswitch until the max-
imum power level has been reached.
Keep the – footswitch pressed until
the symbol for the lower power level
starts to flash.
Then release the footswitch.
You can also activate this function
from the lowest power level. To do so
press and hold the + footswitch, until
the symbol for the higher power level
starts to flash.
To select an interim power setting
Press the – or + footswitch until the
required power level has been
reached.
After a minute without touching a con-
trol, the suction power interim setting
will be saved to the next highest or low-
est setting. The flashing will stop.
The next time the vacuum cleaner is
used it will switch on with the saved in-
terim suction power level.
This setting will be deleted if you then
select one of the standard 6 power
levels.
