. . . b ars light up in the temperature
display.
Check the temperature display approx.
6 hours after switching the appliance
on. The temperature will not show in the
display until it drops below 0 °C.
. . . "
F4
" or "
F5
" appears in the tem-
perature display.
There is a technical fault. Call the Miele
Service. The safety switch-off device
will maintain the temperature of the ap-
pliance.
. . . "nA" appears in the temperature
display.
At some time during the last few days
or hours there was a power cut which
caused the temperature in the appli-
ance to rise to too high a level.
^
While "nA" is showing in the display,
press the alarm button.
The temperature display will change
to show the highest temperature in
the freezer during the power cut.
Depending on the temperature dis-
played, check the food in the freezer to
see if it has begun to defrost or if it has
in fact defrosted. If this is the case,
check that the food is safe to use and
cook or consume as soon as possible.
Defrosted food may only be re-frozen
after it has been cooked.
The highest temperature reached dur-
ing the power cut will be displayed for
approx. 1 minute. The temperature dis-
play will then change to show the actual
current temperature of the freezer.
. . . the super freeze indicator light is
on but the appliance is not working.
It can take up to 8 minutes for the appli-
ance to switch on after the super freeze
button has been pressed. This is due to
an in-built delay switch, which helps to
prolong the life of the appliance.
. . . the freezer cannot be switched
off.
The child safety lock has been acti-
vated.
. . . food has frozen together.
Use a blunt instrument, e.g. a spoon
handle or plastic scraper to carefully
prise it apart.
^
Check whether the lid closes prop-
erly.
^
Defrost and then clean the appliance.
Too thick a layer of ice reduces effi-
ciency and increases energy consump-
tion.
