10 a. Set up for vented
extraction
Fit the panel supplied into the slot for
the active charcoal filter.
Secure the ventilation ducting over
the vent socket on the cooker hood
using a hose clip.
Complete venting installation. (See
“Connection for air extraction”).
10 b. Set up for recirculation
connection
If site conditions are not suitable for the
cooker hood to be used for air extrac-
tion the appliance must be connected
for recirculation.
The following parts, available through
your Miele Dealer or from the Miele
Spare Parts Department are required
for operating the appliance in recircula-
tion mode:
– Conversion kit for recirculation mode
(ø125 mm): exhaust grille, hose,
hose clip
– Active charcoal filter (see “Technical
data”)
Connection
When fitting the cooker hood in a wall
unit the exhaust grille

has to be fitted
in the top of the unit. The exhaust stub
(vent socket)

are joined together with a pipe or
flexible duct cut to size
