IF THE WATER ISN' T TOO HARD, YOU MAY ALSO PREVENT THE FORMATIO N OF DEPOSITS BY ADDING
DETERGENT.
The amount of d eter gent needed can vary due to differences in water hardness. To dete rmine th e water hardness in
you r area, c ontact yo ur l ocal wat er utility or area w ater softening company. The harder the water, the more detergent
you may need. Reme mber, you should adjust the amount of de tergent you use by small amounts unt il you find the
correct amo unt.

To remove hard water spots, try the followi ng:

Run dishes through a normal wash pro gram.
Remove all metal dishware , such as cutlery, pans, etc.,

from the di shw asher.

Do not add detergent.
Pour two c ups of vinegar in to a bowl and set the bowl face

up on the lower rac k of the dishwasher.

Run the dishes through a norm al w ash prog ram.

If this doe sn't work, try the same process with 1 / 4 cup of
citric acid crystals instead of vinegar.

Use o nly detergent specifically ma de f or use in dishwashers.
Keep your detergent fresh and dry. Don't put powder detergent
into the dispenser until You're ready to wash dishe s.

The r inse aid is rel ease d during the final rinse to prevent
water from forming droplets on your dishes that can leave
spots and streaks. It al so im proves d rying by allowing
water to "shee t" off the dish es.
Your dishwasher is designed to use liquid rinse aids.
The r inse aid dispe nser is l ocated inside the door next to
the detergent dispense r. To fill the d ispenser, op en th e
cap and pour the rinse aid into the d ispenser until the leve l

tablespoon of detergent is needed for a normal w ash load. and, more heavily soiled ite ms need more detergent.
Always add the dete rgent just before starting dishwasher, oth erwi se it could get damp and will not dissolve properly.

A measured amount of rinse aid is released during the final rinse. As with detergent, th e amount
of rinse aid needed for your dishes depends on the hardness of th e water in your area. Too much
rin se a id can result in lather of foaming and cause clo udiness or steaks on your dishes. If the
water in yo ur area is very soft, you may not need rinse aid . If y ou do,you can dilute the rinse aid
with an equal a mount of water.
Th e rinse aid dispe nser has fou r se ttings. A lways sta rt with the dispenser set on " 2 ". If spots a nd
poor drying are pro blems, increase the amount of rinse aid di spensed by remo ving the dispenser
lid and rotating the dial to "3". If the dishes still are not drying properly or are spotted, adjus t the
