When Margin Display is set to
TIA Margin Display
, marginally passing test results (those for
which the passing value falls within the Scanner’s accuracy range) are marked with “*PASS”. When
Margin Display is set to
ACR Margin Check
, a cable will pass if a failing NEXT test result is within
the Scanner’s accuracy range AND if the ACR result is within an acceptable range. When Margin
Display is set to
None
, the only possible Autotest results are “PASS” or “FAIL”.
In the Autotest memory list screen, the test status can be “P” (PASS) or “F” (FAIL), or if the
Autotest was run with Margin Display set to
TIA
, “*” (MARGINAL PASS).
After editing, press
Save (F1)
to store the new Autotest name and exit or press the
ESCAPE
key
to exit.
Selecting Pairs for Autotest
To display the
EDIT AUTOTEST PAIRS
screen, press the
Extended Functions
key, then select
Setup Autotest
, then highlight the Autotest to edit, then press
Edit (F2);
then select
Pairs
. This
screen lets you select which pairs to test and which pairs to use as PASS/FAIL criteria.
The top row indicates the pairs to be tested during Autotest. The bottom row indicates the pairs
that will determine the PASS/FAIL criteria for the cable. Press the
Ï
or
Ð
arrow key to
move left or right within the rows. Or, press the
Ñ
or
Ò
arrow key to move between rows.
Press
Select (F2)
(or
Unsel
) to select (or deselect) the pair. Selected tests are marked with an ‘x’.
Press
Save (F1)
to store the pair selections and exit or press the
ESCAPE
key to exit without
saving.
Note: If a pair is selected for PASS/FAIL criteria, but is not selected for testing, all tests will fail. If
a pair is selected for testing but is not selected for PASS/FAIL criteria, the Autotest will not be
marked as FAIL if that pair fails.
Selecting Tests to Run During Autotest
To display the
EDIT TESTS TO RUN
screen, press the
Extended Functions
key, then select
Setup Autotest
, then highlight the Autotest to edit, then press
Edit (F2),
then select
Tests to
Run
. This screen lets you enable or disable the tests to run during Autotest. When using the
2-
Way I
or
2-Way Injector,
you can run tests at the Scanner or Injector end of the link.
Press the
Ò
or
Ñ
arrow key to highlight the test(s) to enable or disable.
Press
Select (F2)
(or
Unsel
) to enable (or disable) the highlighted test. Enabled tests are marked
with an ‘x’.
After all test selections have been made, press
Save (F1)
to save the list of selected tests for this
Autotest.
Press the
ESCAPE
key to exit the screen without saving.
Note: ACR will not be computed unless the NEXT and Attenuation tests are enabled (since ACR
computations are based on NEXT and Attenuation measurements). The Scanner will automatically
disable ACR if NEXT or Attenuation is not enabled.
