Defrosting The Food
The defrost setting on your microwave oven enables easy and convenient thawing of
frozen foods. The microwave energy heats the outer surface of the food and this
heat is moved slowly to the center. This thaws the food evenly throughout.
In addition to defrosting, this defrosting setting can also be used for slower and
gentler cooking. Soups stews, and some sauces can be cooked "Defrost" to blend
flavors and tenderize meat. Foods with a high-milk, cheese or egg content may be
cooked on the DEFROST setting to prevent curdling or toughness.
How to use the Defrost Setting:
1. Place food in the microwave oven and close the door.
2. Place the power select control at the DEFROST position.
3. Set the TIMER for the times suggested in the cooking
guide or as desired.
Note:
Close the door and the oven light will come on as heating begins.
The oven light and microwave will turn off at the end of the set time
or when door is opened.
MicroFridge® Patented Circuitry
This microwave features Safe Plug™ technology to limit electrical draw from using 2
appliances simutaneously. Here, the MicroFridge® refrigerator gets plugged into the
outlet on the back of the microwave and the microwave gets plugged to the
electrical socket in the wall. When the microwave oven is turned on the refrigerator
will shut off. When the microwave cooking is done, turn off the unit and the
refrigerator will automatically turn itself on.
This patented circuitry is useful in places where the ampere usage is limited or
restricted. As either the refrigerator or the microwave oven is only being used at one
time it reduces the possible of the tripping the fuse.
Do not under any circumstances plug any other appliances to the
microwave besides an 115 voltage / 60 Hz. MicroFridge
refrigerator.
