This program is used for specifying the user, password and domain for logging into an external
Windows
®
server/PC. The default setting is the user name MI_PANEL and no password.
Specific operations must be carried out in order for the selected settings to be retained after a restart.
If the entries are acknowledged with OK, the current settings can be saved inside the registry file
\NETWORK.REG. The content of the REG file must be inserted in the
Autoexec.reg
file so that the
settings are reset after a restart.

Note:
These entries are only required if the device is to be connected to a Windows
®
Server/PC with the
Windows
®
operating system. This requires the appropriate user rights, directory or printer
authorizations on the server/PC.

The network name can be set using the Netsetup.exe program. The command line call is as follows:

Sets the default network name consisting of 'MI_' and the last 6 digits of the
MAC address

Device is restarted immediately if the settings are modified.

The currently set network name is displayed during the startup (see

) and inside the
System properties
on the
Device
tab.
