Before first use
Remove the packaging material and protective film from the appliance.
Place the appliance on a dry, stable and flat surface.
Clean the glass plate before use with a slightly damp cloth.
Activation
Caution! Risk of burns! The appliance becomes very hot during operation! Do not touch hot parts
such as the hotplate or pots, etc. Always use the handles.Attention! Hot steam escapes during
boiling and cooking!
Oil and fat used for frying can burn if overheated. Caution is advised. Provide adequate
ventilation during use of the appliance.
NOTE: The appliance only works when you place a pot on it. If you do not put a pot on the
hotplate but still press the ON/OFF button, the automatically preset power level indication of the
respective induction hotplate appears on the display at first and then E-0. The appliance switches
off after about one minute. The appliance does not heat up. If you remove the pot while cooking,
E-0 appears on the display and the appliance switches off after about one minute.
Important: Only use (ferromagnetic) cookware suitable for induction hotplates! Other (non-
magnetic) cookware is not suitable!
Operating the appliance
Caution! Never leave the appliance unattended when the power cord is plugged in.
Do not use the appliance if it is damaged in any way or does not function properly. In this case,
contact the service centre (see "Warranty Information").
The use of accessories and replacement parts not recommended by the manufacturer can cause
damage to the appliance and personal injury.
Note: Please take note of the information below on how to set the appliance.
The power level (watts) or temperature (degrees ° C), and the cooking time (hours/minutes), where
applicable, can be adjusted.
Power levels:
up to 2,000 watts maximum
Temperature settings: 60/80/100/120/140/160/180/200/220/240 (° C)
Timer:
adjustable up to 180 minutes (3 hours)
Always first place the suitable cookware with food or water for cooking (see “Induction-compatible
cookware") centred on the hotplate. Otherwise it will malfunction (see “Safety features").
Plug the power cord into a wall socket. An acoustic signal sounds.
Press the ON/OFF button to turn the appliance on (applies to the right and left hotplate at the same
time). An acoustic signal sounds. (A short acoustic signal is heard every time you press a button).
Select the mode with the function selector switch for WATT / TEMPERATURE / TIMER.
The power level (watts) is displayed first. Press again to change mode.
Press the “higher" or “lower" buttons to adjust the respective level.
