Before using / Operation / Cleaning and Care / Disposal
Important safety instructions / Before using
risks. Do not allow children to play with the
travel hairdryer. Children must be supervised at
all times to prevent them from playing with the
hairdryer. There is a risk of injury.
Do not use the mains power lead for
purposes for which it was not intended,
e.g. for hanging up or carrying the
hairdryer, or for pulling the mains plug out of
the socket. Do not allow the mains power lead
to become trapped, kinked or twisted. Keep
the hairdryer and mains power lead away from
heat, oil and sharp edges. If the mains power
lead is damaged or severed, do not touch the
mains power lead, but pull the mains plug out
of the socket immediately. Damaged or tangled
mains power leads increase the risk of electric
shock.
fIRe HAzARD!
Do not cover the
hairdryer, fan and suction opening.
There is a fire hazard.
fIRe HAzARD!
Make sure that
the removable filter
3
, suction suc-
tion opening and air outlet opening
2
are free of fluff, dust and hair. There is a fire
hazard.
fIRe HAzARD!
Do not use the
hairdryer on artificial hair. There is a
fire hazard.
Keep metal objects (e.g. jewellery) away from
the suction opening, to prevent these being drawn
into the hairdryer. There is a risk of electric shock.
Before switching on the hairdryer, check that
the set mains voltage (120 V or 230 V) is
compliant with the existing mains voltage of the
existing power grid. If necessary, adjust the
power voltage on the hairdryer.
Allow the nozzle
1
to cool before you remove
it.
Do not use any extension cables in the bathroom,
so that in an emergency the mains plug can be
reached quickly.
If the hairdryer is being used in a bathroom,
the mains plug should be pulled out after use,
since the proximity of water presents a danger
even if the hairdryer is switched off.
Never immerse the hairdryer in water. Do not
take hold of the appliance if it has fallen into
water and is still connected to the mains socket.
Pull out the mains plug from the socket immediately.
We recommend the incorporation of a residual
current device (FI / RCD) with a rated trip current
of not more than 30 mA into the electrical cir-
cuit to provide you with additional protection.
Ask your electrician for advice.
Only connect the hairdryer to a socket which
has the voltage as specified on the type plate.
Do not insert any objects into the inside of the
casing.
Never open the hairdryer and do not attempt
to repair the hairdryer yourself. Any modifica-
tions will void the guarantee.
Only pull the cable from the socket by using
the mains plug.
If the hairdryer has been dropped, or shows
other signs of damage from being dropped, it
must not be used any more.
Untangle the mains power lead
10
, if this
becomes twisted.
Do not use any additional parts, which have not
been recommended or supplied as accessories
by the manufacturer.
Repairs may only carried out only by qualified
specialist personnel or in a workshop approved
by the manufacturer. Improper repairs may
result in considerable danger for the user.
If the mains power cable
10
of this appliance
is damaged, it has to be replaced by the manu-
facturer or its service department or a similarly
qualified person in order to avoid hazards.
Before using
Ensure that you are standing on a dry, electri-
cally non-conductive floor surface.
Ensure that your hands are dry.
Dry you hair first with a hand towel.
Note:
Depending on the switch setting
and duration of use, the nozzle
1
and
the hairdryer can become very hot. There
is the risk of fire and burns. Do not touch the
nozzle
