Button/indicator
Function
LED display
Shows the vacuum/sealing time of the appliance.
Notes:
•
In the initial state of vacuuming and sealing, you must press the handle
down by hand, because it cannot be vacuumed or sealed before the
negative pressure is enough to close the vacuum lid. After the negative
pressure is formed in the vacuum chamber, you do not have to press the
handle anymore.
•
Delicate foods, moist foods and foods that need to hold their shape (for
example meat, berries and bread) require pre-freezing. Once the food is
frozen, it is ready to be vacuum packaged.
•
When packaging fresh meats without pre-freezing, place a folded paper
towel in between the meat and the pouch. This will help absorb moisture.
•
To vacuum package liquids like soups or stews, pre-freeze them in a
dish or an ice cube tray. Once the food is frozen, it is ready to be vacuum
packaged.
•
For vacuum packaging foodstuffs with sharp points or edges (pasta, rice,
etc.), pad the edges with paper towels to prevent puncturing the pouch.
•
Vacuum pouches are reusable, boilable and microwavable. However,
pouches that have been boiled or microwaved should not be reused.
Do not reuse pouches that have been used to store fresh fish or greasy
foods.
•
Always check the seal after the sealing process. A positive seal will look
clear. If the seal is spotty or incomplete, increase the sealing time by
1 second. If the seal is white or milky, decrease the sealing time by 1
second.
•
If you are sealing many pouches in a row, the sealing time should be
shortened after a while to avoid overheating or melting the pouches.
A pause of min. 20 seconds between each sealing process is
recommended.
5. After use
•
Clean the appliance and accessories after each use.
