This sequence of photos shows the wiring and connections to the 6V6 socket. 

We suggest that you make the 

Mercury

 

Upgrade

 first. Then run and fully test your amp. After 

you have tested, played in the amp and are accustomed to its new and improved tone, make the 

6V6 option. 

You can run the amp with both the 6V6 and EL84 in parallel, or remove either tube from the socket 

and run the amp on a solo tube.

Notes

: The components of the current kit differ slightly from those shown in these photos. The

lead wires have been changed to orange. And, the green insulation shielding is now semi-

transparent white.
