Introduction
This may vary according to legal requirements
in certain countries.
G
WARNING
The rear exterior lighting is concealed when
the tailgate is opened. This could cause
other road users to fail to recognise the
vehicle in time. There is a risk of an acci-
dent.
Make sure that the vehicle is safeguarded at
the rear in accordance with national legal
requirements, e.g. with a warning triangle.
Driving abroad
The headlamps must be converted when driv-
ing in countries where vehicles drive on the
opposite side of the road to the country where
the vehicle is registered. The dipped beam
headlamps and headlamp range control must
be repositioned and readjusted.
Have the headlamps switched over at a quali-
fied specialist workshop as close to the border
as possible before crossing into one of these
countries. When returning from your journey
abroad, have the headlamps returned to their
original positions at a qualified specialist work-
shop as close to the border as possible.
When using the vehicle in other countries,
observe the relevant national regulations.
The driver is responsible for the vehicle light-
ing at all times.
