Removing the spare wheel (spare
wheel behind the cab)

WARNING
Persons who are standing in the swinging
range of the spare wheel, the swivel arm and
the spring rocker may be hit. There is a risk
of injury.
Only lower the spare wheel when no one is
standing in the swinging range of the spare
wheel, the swivel arm and the spring rocker.
Your vehicle can optionally be equipped with a
single or double spare wheel holder behind the
cab.
Removing the spare wheel

Assemble the pump lever and the wheel
wrench from the vehicle tool kit and place
them on hexagon nut

To attach the spring rocker to the support,
loosen and remove nut

Move the valve lever on hydraulic pump

into tilting position

Pump until the spare wheel is standing
firmly on the ground.
When the spare wheel is standing on the
ground, it will be easier to pump.
X
Loosen and remove the wheel nuts from
bolts

on the spring rocker. Make sure
the wheel does not tip.
X
Remove the wheel from the spring rocker.
Refitting the spare wheel

Place the spare wheel or rim onto bolts

on the spring rocker and tighten the wheel
nuts with a tightening torque of 385 Nm.

Move the pump lever on hydraulic pump

into driving position

Assemble the pump rod and the socket
wrench from the vehicle tool kit and place
them on hydraulic pump

Pump until the spring rocker has entered
the bracket on the support.
When the swivel arm has entered the
bracket, it will be more difficult to pump.

To attach the spring rocker to the support,
screw on nut
:
. Make sure to observe the
correct tightening torque.
